Show Check Ins

Charity Show- The Yellow Boat

  • Director: Abbey M

    • Big ball of nerves but excited

    • Had our photoshoot Monday- so fun and looks great

    • Did runs all of last week- could not be prouder of my cast

    • Had Tech Week Meeting with Carly and Sarah on Thursday

    • Organized and ran the card drive- it was so wonderful, we got over 60 cards

    • Had move in today- insanely fast and smooth

    • Looking forward to incorporating tech this week

  • TD: Sarah F

    • Build week was so smooth- only took 2 days

    • Card drive was really fun

    • Move in went pretty smoothly- overcame some unforeseen speed bumps

    • Finishing some lighting and extra build/paint stuff tomorrow

  • SM: Carly M

    • Zach came to rehearsal as ASM this week

    • Cast is doing really well

    • Had move in today- had cast meet with costumes and props to make sure everything is all set

  • Producer: Ece Y

    • Last week I sat down with Abbey, Sarah, and David to discuss the plans for everything we need to do for Yellow Boat. 

    • We had a photoshoot at 808 on Monday for the cast and the crew members that were there. The photos have been edited by myself and David and shared with Abbey.

    • We launched our Facebook event page on Friday night, sent in our poster to GSU.

    • We took photos of the rest of the crew today during move-in. 

    • I am going to contact BCH this Monday to see if someone would like to talk before one of the shows. 

    • We will be doing the programs for the show this week, and doing the lobby decoration for the show tomorrow night!

Medea

  • Director: Matt D

    • This week went well

    • Most of the chorus scenes have been choreographed

    • Starting to dig into more scenes this week

    • Met with producing team last week

  • AD: Kendall G

    • Rehearsals ls going really well!

  • TD: Priya P

    • Met with almost every department this week

    • Finalized set design

    • Planning on putting in wood order before spring break

  • SM: Lena J

    • Got all the costumes sizes from the actors

    • Setting soft and hard off book dates

    • Rehearsal room has been great

    • ASM has been wonderful

  • Producer: Sean D and Sage H

    • The producing team got together to talk over our ideas for the show.

    • Went over some expectations and responsibilities

    • Goal is to get a photoshoot next weekend on the 29th in 808 so we can get things going before break, but we are still trying to figure out how we can get access to it during the weekend. I am going to COM this week to request film access so we will know for sure in the next day or two. 

    • Started talking over T-shirt ideas and the question of whether we want to do sweatshirts or something else etc. We will be sending out a form soon to gauge what people want with prices and such

If/Then

    • Got a LOT done this week

    • Really proud of how hard the actors have been working

    • Taping out the floor in the rehearsal room

    • Starting with music this week

    • Having cast bonding at Yellow Boat this weekend

    • Most of the big dance numbers are finished

    • Going through choreo pretty quickly- they’re learning

  • TD: Katie G

    • Had department meetings this week

    • Finishing up some specifics for build and lights with Zach

  • SM: Katie H

    • Got a lot of blocking and choreo done

    • Made a document for tech notes

    • Next two weeks dedicated to music

  • Producer: Marion C and Juliette H

    • We have a calendar schedule that we have shared with all the other members of the creative team.

    • Hoping to have a tentative T-shirt design done before Spring Break.

    • All other advertising and marketing will happen after Spring Break. The photoshoot will also be March 16-18, right when we get back to BU. 

    • Thursdays at 10:00 pm is when we as a creative team will have our weekly check-ins.

    • Juliette and I might have a meeting with Kendall this week to discuss the budget and finances.

Eboard Check Ins

  • President: Kim

    • Had some productive office hours

    • Working on solving Ben Colgan’s SAO dilemma

    • Went to If/Then tech meeting

    • GM powerpoint preparation

    • Schedule division of power talk with If/Then

  • VP: Siena

    • Booked alternate weekend rooms for If/Then

    • Booked BUSTies team meeting room

    • Communicated w/ Evan and Callum re: band rooms and equipment

    • Picked up If/Then score and space materials from SAO

  • VPSP: Devon

    • Saw a run of The Yellow Boat Friday- cried a little bit, so excited

    • Maintaining Assassins

    • Started working on BUSTIEs room reservation

    • Met with BUSTIEs event team and hosts

    • Worked on GM presentation

    • Still working on Capture the Flag/Kickball

    • Sent out GM 2 reminder/e-board vacancy statement email

    • Made GM 2 and Yellow Boat FB event

    • Worked on the calendar planning spreadsheet
