Executive Board Minutes 6/19/22

E-Board Check-ins

Emma:

  • show on 6/4: no one came to 6:30pm show

    • walked to Rich Hall

  • got rid of 6:30pm show last week – did only 7:30pm

  • used to be 5-10 students pre-pandemic

  • emailing ahead of time works

Stella:

  • scheduling rehearsals

  • sent out schedule today

  • cast bonding event soon – maybe in July

    • have to plan with others


Guin:

  • fielding RA questions about Summer Show

  • talking to Warren people about the show

  • adjusting budget for Fall show Ride the Cyclone

    • prices have gone up for the music scores – less than half of the total budget

Jack:

  • requested rights for A Small Family Business and Ride the Cyclone

    • SFB has been approved and will be submitting to SAO

    • still waiting on Cyclone. 

  • had Little Mermaid rights officially confirmed that they were paid by SAO

Melina:

  • received F&F TD, SM forms from Rayna

    • will make newsletter for forms

  • reposted First Mates Instagram content

  • received confirmation for A Small Family Business license!

Rayna:

  • Finished F&F TD and SM forms (due July 10th and 17th, respectively)

  • moved back to Boston!

Steve:

  • none!

Show Check-Ins

First Mates (Summer Show)

Natalie (Co-Director):

  • have an AP who was wonderful last week

  • brought back Mr. Chris Dew to play the role of Vic (rip mr mastella)

  • audience this week was around 12-15 audience members, so not a huge turnout but truly not bad for summer show!

  • elected to do one show every Tuesday at 7:30pm

  • may consider doing a Friday show at some point this month but that’s still up in the air, and would need to be discussed among the creative team, cast, and crew

Leela (Co-Director):

  • may miss tech rehearsal Monday

  • had check-in with Taylor (producing team) about updating the playbill with her info since she wasn't in it last week

    • not sure about outcome yet

  • wants to schedule a company bonding event next week

    • goal: to keep last week light and fun for everyone:)

Stella (SM):

  • not much

  • running lines with Chris before rehearsal on Monday

Katie (TD):

  • tech has been going well!

  • wants to reconnect with Rayna for the key transfer just to make sure none of the tech for the show breaks and fix it if it does

    • perhaps at rehearsal tomorrow night or the show Tuesday.

  • most likely won’t be present for the September shows

    • may talk to the techies and see if anyone would be interested in taking over being the TD

Evan (Producer):

  • producing is going well!

  • welcomed Taylor to the team to help out with the in-lobby to-dos

  • continuing to post cast/crew/creative team spotlights on our Instagram

    • doesn’t seem like many first years have followed our account

    • let’s promote everything on our own social media accounts

  • busy with camp but will answer emails and texts ASAP


Summer Show Questions:

  • Warren residents aged 14-17 are free after 5pm. Is the content suitable for ages 14+?

    • answer: yes.
