One Acts Check-outs
Directors
Hadysha - Blind Date
Great experience!
There were a few “freak out” moments but it all turned out great!
Glad to have a holistic view of theater and how hard everyone works!
Jack - Boise, Idaho
Super positive experience!
Did summer show with Natalie, but that was training wheels. This was go time.
Cast was great! People enjoyed the show!
Looking forward to doing more!
Priya - Lucky Misfortunes
One Acts went great! Although I couldn’t be there for tech rehearsal/move in, I heard that everything went smoothly! I was able to see Friday’s performance over zoom, and stood in the back for my show on Saturday! Overall, this process has been amazing and I had such an amazing time directing for the first time!
Ishika - Lady Killers
Julia - The Letter
I was glad to have a short scene in the long run, the whole process felt very stress light
Wish the final days had gone differently, but that’s nothing to do with the performance
Was fortunate enough to watch it via zoom both nights, everything was amazing!
Super thankful for Claire and Nhi (and Tina just not for me lol) for all the hard work they put in
Putting on original work can be a scary thing, fear of judgement, but it’s really worth the payoff :)
Carrie - La Mouche
Great experience!
Lovely cast, audience loved it
Bows were sorta messy but a very small thing
Great send off for her last one act
Natalie - skits and monologues
Creative Team
Nhi - stage manager
Everything went great and it was a really good and fun experience with Troupe :) It made me miss theater and stage managing, I forgot how happy stage manager made me so thank you to One Acts for that! Would recommend that for future One Acts everything should be in one spreadsheet (contact information, script, when2meet, conflicts, rehearsal, rehearsal room, etc) because Tina and I did that and it was really convenient. And finally, big shout out to Claire, Liv, Emma, Siena and Katie, I love seeing you guys around and you guys made this experience really fun for me :).
Tina - stage manager
Claire - tech director
First TD experience! Was very nervous but it went so well!
Thankful for a very flexible team
Had a great time with this process, so excited to do more!
Emma - producing
Wish the drive went up sooner
Too many one acts lol
But it all went really well!
Learned a lot of valuable lessons if she ever gets to run it again
Met a lot of brand new actors and techies!

Tech Workshop Series
Reached out to other TAs, great idea!
Wanted advice on how big this should be
Similar to Elements of Theatre workshops?
Bring back workshops from last year? Directing! Creative team stuff too!
Not exactly what Katie had in mind: wants to stay specifically in tech departments
Not a stage troupe event, but a theatre-wide tech event
Involving people who are higher up
Alumni, SOT people, Eric, Lex ?
Scheduling
1 workshop a day
Like a weeklong / month long event?
End of next semester?
