Show Check Ins

    • Director: Joe
      • In the future, if the situation ever arises, directors should ask other directors why they are scheduling rehearsals right before another show/on show nights of other shows
    • TD: Caitlin
      • Emphasize communication between TDs, SMs and director about the tech week schedule
      • ATDs should not be first time Troupies
        • Puts them in weird position because they are learning about Troupe in general while also learning a leadership position
      • Maybe rethink the structure of tech
        • Need to have more assistants to account for drops
      • SMs need to coordinate with TDs better to make tech week schedule in order to accommodate tech crew and department heads to see the runs
      • Treat actors and techies like they are part of your team at strike and they will rise to the challenge

      • Had a bit of trouble with one of the assistant producers
        • Dropped the Wednesday of tech week
      • In the future, producers should put the GSU link sign up in the t-shirt request form
        • Link was a nightmare to get people to sign up for
        • Maybe make people sign up to work link in order to get their show shirt?
        • Need to make sure that people know what they’re doing there – give them a heads up beforehand
      • How do we get the charity money to the charity?
      • Two shows were sold out

      • Push techies to come to full runs a few weeks before move in
  • Really Really
    • Director: Rachel
      • Prepared for last week of rehearsals
    • SM: Erin
      • One more full run before tech week
      • Had a lot of techies come to the run today
    • TD: Danny
      • Home Depot dropped off wood, sandpaper, wheels
        • But got the wrong paint
        • Jamie will go tomorrow to get the correct colors
      • Amazon order for props came in
      • Assistant lights dropped out because of content of show
      • Made detailed build and paint schedule for this week
        • 5:30PM/6PM – 9PM every day this week
      • Have a 3D version of set that has been distributed to tech crew
      • 3 phase move-in process:
        • Build move-in
        • Department move-in
        • List time
    • Producer: Andy
      • Link photo is up
      • Warren poster is officially submitted
        • Bring poster on a USB drive to SAO in future
      • Working on programs
        • Drafted the trigger warning
      • GSU link sign ups are happening
      • Talk back will be happening after Friday night show
        • Cementing a new group to facilitate that discussion
  • One Acts
    • TD: Chris
      • Just got crew
      • Will be meeting with ATD, Erin, this week and will be having a tech meeting soon
      • Give him advice – he wants it
    • Monologue Director: Danny
      • Had first rehearsal
    • Producer: Lauren
      • Excited to get started

 

E-Board Check Ins

  • President: Michael
    • Welcome our new VPSP, Danny!
    • Theater maintenance
      • Holes in lobby walls where posters used to be
        • We can either fix it or pay facilities to fix it
      • Front door is very loud – facilities will fix
      • Producers booth is a little shoddy
        • Will use Really Really producing budget to restock and give it a face lift
  • VP: Alison
    • Have a room for GM #4: CAS 216
    • Pan Hellenic Dance Marathon performance happened
      • 1/3 of Seuss cast went
      • Had a great time!
    • Really Really rooms had to change a bit but it’s settled
  • VPSP: Ali
    • One Acts
      • Confirmed set up of BUC for the shows
      • Directors had conflicts this week but at the very least have contacted their casts and set up rehearsal times
        • Will start to kick into gear soon
      • Will meet with Brittany, Jamie, producers and TD to discuss vision for One Acts
    • Will meet with Danny to get an idea of next semester’s events and discuss being VPSP
  • VPSP Elect: Danny
    • Set up a meeting with Chris Kuiken to talk about next semester's events
    • Started writing up suggestions for next semester
  • Treasurer: Brittany
    • Had comp code problems with W;t
      • All set for Really Really
    • Have to go into SAO and give them “a LOT” of money
    • Want to have stickers for next GM
    • Need to meet with the One Acts producers
    • Thinking about increasing prices for show tickets
    • DHD and Andy will hold producer workshops for One Acts and next semester’s producers
  • Secretary: Karlie
    • Promoted W;t successfully
    • Made Really Really Facebook event
    • Posters are all up on the website
    • More members of STAMP came to see W;t this weekend
      • They even Instagrammed it!
  • TA: Jamie
    • Made a tech feedback form
      • Still a draft
    • Has a list of the money people owe Troupe for rentals
    • One Acts has a crew
  • Eric
    • Might not be at Board next week
      • Steve will definitely not be
    • One Seussical libretto was not returned
      • Need a check for it
