E-Board Check-ins

Emma:

  • talked to BUT presidents

  • went to Techstravaganza

    • hung lights lolol

  • dealt with some division of power + conflict resolution things

  • worked on membership things throughout the week and adding people to Engage

Stella:

  • also did division of power meetings

  • went to Techstravaganza

  • helped with Mermaid

  • reserving spaces for rehearsal

Guin:

  • made COMBAT schedules

  • had meeting with Rayna about tech

Jack:

  • picked Assistant Producers for all three shows

  • Approved Gavin’s reimbursements

Melina:

  • sent tech + COMBAT newsletter

  • updated Facebook + Instagram with Techstravaganza

  • went to Techstravaganza

Rayna:

  • met with TAs to schedule tech workshops (upcoming leadership workshop on Oct. 4th)

  • met with Emma, Liv, and Hal for set design, finalizing purchase order

  • talked to Playwright TD for quiet hours

  • made BUT google calendar

  • met with TAs, scheduled safety trainings and workshops

  • finished tech lists!!!!!

  • WM movie night

  • planned and hosted Techstravaganza!

  • met with Guin to go over combat plan


Steve:

  • nothing!

The Little Mermaid (Family & Friends Weekend Show)

Hadysha Miller (Director): 

  • one member got COVID

    • she’s coming back on Monday

  • member (Chef Louie) has mono (maybe)

  • Melinda Stackpole said she can’t be on ensemble anymore

    • was sick and couldn’t come to “Under the Sea” rehearsal

  • Camille Wahl dropped

  • Renee has dropped

  • Sarah Winston has conflicts

  • document of scenes

    • costumes questions … always

  • acquired a piano

  • went to Tsai and talked to Lex about tech things

  • need to talk to Rayna about mics

  • talked to Mack about reopening auditions …

    • choreographers are already in a scene …


Amy Fryda (Music Director): 

  • first week of rehearsals!

  • taught music

  • two songs per rehearsal

    • 5 hour long rehearsals

  • have to move timeline regarding ensemble issues

  • organized a pit!

    • distributing scores

    • rehearsal tracks are a no!


Emma Neary (Technical Director): 

  • met three times with build team

  • finished set design

    • brainstorming creative solutions

  • filled out wood order sheet – only need 3 pieces of wood!

  • Tsai meeting last week with Lex, etc. about lighting spreadsheets

  • sent tech Drive to tech team

  • meeting with Kaito (assistant TD) tomorrow

  • made costuming breakdown sheet


Daphne Parker (Producer):

  • none


Madison McCormack (Stage Manager):

  • gotten a couple of emails about scheduling conflicts

    • have until today to send conflicts

    • unexcused absences and tardies will apply after today

  • Mack was in ER last night :(

  • have two ASMS!


Mackenzie Hackett (Choreographer):

  • none


Fiona Brymer (Choreographer):


A Small Family Business (Fall Mainstage Show)

Gavin Mastella (Director):

  • first week of rehearsals

  • did first read-through

  • character work this weekend with everyone individually

  • start blocking next week

  • worked on editing script (like the weird stuff…)

  • took out British slang

    • synonyms for “fuck” like “damn” and “goddamn” … are those okay?

    • cannot edit script but we can localize

    • have to say “aluminium” tho

    • don’t change pronouns or names


Molly Flanigan (Technical Director): 

  • have an (almost) finalized set design

  • met with Macy and Gavin

  • will meet with MC soon

  • went to Techstravaganza

  • making Tech drive right now


Mariam Hydara (Assistant Director):

  • It was our first week of rehearsals how exciting!

  • was at our table read last Sunday and rehearsal on Tuesday and Friday, listening to everyone read and filling in with parts that were necessary. 

  • excited and anxious to start blocking next week

  • show does feel very packed with a lot of lines but I'm sure Gavin's sectioning off of the two acts will make it easier to get to.

    • made scene breakups


Renata Feinstein (Producer):

  • I was at our first read-through and have set up a meeting for this week with my two APs to start planning everything out


Macy Bornstein (Stage Manager):


Ride the Cyclone (Fall Mainstage Show)

Guin Keith (Director):

  • made the callback sheet to put in Drive

    • closer to done-done later tonight

  • made tentative schedule for this week

  • had first read-through

    • editing script down

    • initial reactions made edits necessary

  • Emma is picking up scripts (or Guin can at SAO)

Claire Parrell (Technical Director):

  • went through WWN list with Guin

  • reached out to ATD Hal

  • finalizing floor plan for show

  • will reach out to tech team


Madeleine Clinch (Music Director):

  • none


Sarah Valger (Assistant Director): 

  • none


Ian Aquino (Producer):

  • connected with my assistant producers and we’ve started discussing various producing things together!

  • I’m also planning on meeting with my fellow creative team members soon to get their input on how we want to produce and advertise the show


Zoe Larrimer (Stage Manager): 

  • planned rehearsal schedule

  • emailed Stella for rooms

  • emailed and spoke to ASMs


Guin Keith (Choreographer):

  • none

Piano? Amplifier

  • Mermaid can use the Troupe piano

  • ask Lex about cord for PA system

    • get an amp perhaps

  • CC Emma and Rayna on the email


COMBAT Updates:

  • Rayna and Guin met

  • made COMBAT schedule

  • one thing: want to assign during-COMBAT responsibilities among E-Board

    • need to address conflicts

  • Rayna will take reins over at 8:30pm on Saturday

  • Guin will ask for Jack to do the closing remarks

    • switch to Rayna

  • Guin needs keys to open at 8pm on Saturday

    • Guin will need them right at 8

    • Stella will do it

    • someone will close it after strike

  • need a rehearsal room from 8am-5pm on Saturday

  • Troupe is going first this year
