E-Board Check-ins

Emma:

  • just vibing and helping where she can!

Stella:

  • scheduled rehearsals for shows and emailed SAO to hurry up on confirming the spaces

  • got Safety Trained at the Space with Rayna

  • got my ticket for The Little Mermaid

Guin:

  • secured Haunted House director

  • sent out Haunted House, One Acts forms

    • need to find pitch form for One Acts

Jack:

  • quite busy!

  • put out mic fire – coming tomorrow (hopefully!)

  • trying to track down missing costumes

  • ordered props for SFB

  • ordered directions for lobby of Mermaid

Melina:

  • connected with Daphne to advertise Mermaid

    • spotlights and Instagram takeovers

Rayna:

  • received TLM wood order and dealt with Home Depot shenanigans (shoutout to Liv and others for helping)

  • safety trained Stella :)

  • attended a couple days of build/paint but was #sick and studying for midterms

  • helped with TLM move-in

Steve:

  • nothing!

Show Check-ins

The Little Mermaid (Family & Friends Weekend Show)

Hadysha Miller (Director): 

  • mersisters bought their own skirts

    • asked Emma about reimbursements – can try to return it back and reimbursements could take months

  • conch – can pitch in for that

  • Amy can’t be here for Monday, Tuesday during Tech Week

    • need a music person – can ask pianist

  • Mackenzie found a pianist who needs payment

    • can we ask the cast for $5?

    • Jack says he trusts her judgment!

  • does our piano have a peddle?

    • ask pianist for peddle

    • need piano amp – asking Berkeley

  • talked to H&M

    • sending reminder email


Amy Fryda (Music Director): 

  • felt pretty confident in the cast's singing abilities

    • harmonies are clicking

    • people are making their entrances at the correct time

  • main concern is underscoring

  • extremely confident in the pit's musical abilities

  • working with pianist tonight

    • running whole show


Emma Neary (Technical Director): 

  • sending daily emails

    • will include base coat for H&M

  • build week happened

    • stress… but went well…

  • set looks good downstairs

  • costuming hiccups

    • solved! people wanted to buy own stuff

  • moved some people from paint to build

  • sent out Tech Week schedule

  • almost everyone remembered to bring stuff

  • respectful cast and crew!

  • everyone is dismissed except lights


Daphne Parker (Producer):

  • gathering content to promote show on social media

  • finishing up everyone’s headshots and bios

  • helping out with polishing blocking and scene transitions before full run throughs as AD

A Small Family Business (Fall Mainstage Show)

Gavin Mastella (Director):

  • soft-off book went well

    • actors are really starting to hit their stride with these characters

  • hard off book is next Thursday

  • tech team came in to watch and help with costumes and set stuff

  • going to try to be more precise with the movements of the actors to make sure they're going to fit inside the set

    • having to adjust to the actual size during tech week might be jarring depending on how close we've gotten to that size when taping it out on the floor thus far


Molly Flanigan (Technical Director): 

  • met with costumes, props, and lights teams to touch base and make sure we have everything we need

  • submitted purchase orders

  • attended some rehearsals, in order to try to coordinate the show’s big stunt, and to take costume measurements

  • helped a bit with the little mermaid’s build week and with today’s move-in


Mariam Hydara (Assistant Director):

  • went to rehearsal this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and part of Saturday

  • pushed through the soft-off book

  • trying to gain the skills needed to become a more effective director when it comes to the smaller details

    • excited to start hard offbook in a few days as well

  • planning for a creative team meeting


Renata Feinstein (Producer):

  • made a calendar mapping out producing things for the next couple of weeks before the show

  • made a reservation for a warren towers poster :)

  • planning to meet with my APs this upcoming week


Macy Bornstein (Stage Manager):

  • went soft off book this week

  • Molly came to a few rehearsals and measured costumes


Ride the Cyclone (Fall Mainstage Show)

Guin Keith (Director):

  • big week!

  • two changes to cast list

    • moved cast member up and used callback list

  • three CT meetings, two more next week

  • pre-Mermaid viewing

  • merch!

Claire Parrell (Technical Director):

  • been busy with Little Mermaid and planning logistics for Cyclone

  • talking to Hal about scheduling department meetings and aiming for times when everyone in each department can meet

    • probably after Little Mermaid/FamBiz - late October to mid-November

  • made a Google drive and gradually adding bits and pieces to it


Madeleine Clinch (Music Director):


Sarah Valger (Assistant Director): 


Ian Aquino (Producer):

  • planning to meet with creative team about producing ideas, photo shoots, and more

  • working on more budget stuff (and all that jazz)


Zoe Larrimer (Stage Manager): 

  • worked on dance and vocal rehearsals this week

  • worked on emailing our new rat to catch them up on everything

  • created and emailed schedule for next week


Guin Keith (Choreographer):


Pitches:

  • sent out form

  • Theatre in Action will be sent to Guin


General Meeting #2:

  • date: Sunday, November 6 at 6pm

  • over-explain pitches in email

  • one musical limit

  • 3 in total - Theatre in Action, two other mainstages


Reading Committee:

  • give them 2/3 days

  • pitches are due Tuesday, November 1 at 11:59 pm

  • Guin picks hers, texts E-Board, announce at GM 2

    • if you don’t get any, extend deadline at GM 2


Special Projects:

  • Haunted House and One Acts form

    • Brooke (director) for Haunted House

  • audition date: 

  • two places in mind: any staircase, CSC, library in CAS, Space
