Hel (co-TD):

    • not advised for future TDs!

  • alot of people were not responding to TDs

  • have updated tech list sooner rather than later

    • more support if tech list was updated

  • general CT meetings and communication could have been better

    • not horrible

  • SM role should be more tech oriented so tech week is smoother for everyone

    • talking to techies in booth, cue-ing, etc.

    • not horrible

  • co-TD slay

    • should be friends

  • wish ATDs came to CT meetings more

  • Verge was a little shidded on

    • general membership support is needed

  • quiet hours should be communicated earlier

    • very short

Heather (co-TD):

  • co-TD slay pt.2

  • should have reached out for assistants quicker

    • they were amazing

  • how to engage ATDs?

  • so much back and forth communication

  • not a straight line of communication from directors during tech week

Daphne Parker (Producer):

“Producing wise, I think that everything went very well on my end. Although the photoshoot being rescheduled was a hassle, it ended up going real well. The actors seemed to really enjoy getting to come up with their own poses, and the pictures ended up looking great! Although Hanna wasn’t able to come, I was able to have her stop by BU Beach for me to get some content of her which was great.

I think something that should be improved on in the future is making sure the creative team is on the same page in terms of division of power. Although we had a division of power meeting I think it wasn’t fully understood by everyone exactly what jobs went under which positions, as well as who has the final say on certain things. In the future, it might be a good idea to make a condensed guide for each of the roles that all creative team members are required to read and refer to. (E.g. Producer: instagram, photoshoot, posters, etc.).

Another important note I wanted to mention was the importance of being considerate of other peoples’ needs and feelings, although they might not be seen or shared. You never know what another person is going through and in a process that is supposed to be supportive and enjoyable, that is a crucial thing to remember.

I think it’s also important to add that just because someone is unable to attend a specific meeting, it is important to have trust in their capability to get their jobs done.

I’m glad that in the end the show went well, despite the emotional turmoil and tension that occurred throughout the process.”

Jit Ping Lee (SM):

  • ASMs – at least watched the show

    • make it a point to watch the show

    • improved experience

  • tech week and cues

    • questions being left up to just tech week could have been addressed earlier

    • TDs running everything – SM should have been more proactive

    • paper tech – little time to do cue-to-cue

    • doing on sunday was really helpful

    • have lights and sound meet SMs before tech week

    • cue-to-cue is really helpful… we should do this more

    • all CT should be informed of tech week

  • tech week turned out fine

    • show ran! yes!

  • statements about Troupe like racism and ableism

    • specify what these instances are

    • less credible and constructive

  • comment of cast message

    • not fair to place burden on either side

    • question of not being addressed is the problem of the script

    • not fair to lay blame on cast

    • the statement didn’t imply as a way of discrediting the work done to deconstruct the racism in the script

Guin (choreographer):
